Jason Zhao is Above Food’s Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Jason oversees the accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, internal audit, and tax functions at Above.

Jason has over 20 years of experience building and leading finance teams in big four accounting firms, private equity, and international companies with significant operating scale and complexity. Since becoming Above’s CFO in 2021, Jason has been deeply involved in the company’s operations, as well as the strategy development and overall execution of the company’s successful growth initiative.

Jason is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator. He began his career with Ernst & Young in audit, valuation, and corporate finance roles, and spent 10 years in private equity directing and managing strategic investments throughout western Canada.
