Martin Williams

President and Chief Innovation Officer

A Canadian entrepreneur, and business leader Martin Williams is the Co-Founder, President and Chief Innovation Officer for Above Food Brands.

Martin has over 20 years of consumer-packaged goods experience, having held diverse leadership roles throughout his career, including: founder, operator, commercial lead, marketing lead, and innovation lead, across dozens of consumer categories.

Having lived and worked in several of the world’s fastest growing markets including Hong Kong, and New York, Martin has a unique global perspective that informs his approach to scaling businesses.

For the 12 years prior to co-founding Above Food, Martin was a management consultant and advisor to blue chip CPG companies with a focus on Innovation, Change Management, and Go-to-Market strategy. During this time Martin held various leadership roles at global Innovation Strategy firms, Fahrenheit 212 in New York now part of Capgemini (EPA:CAP), and Idea Couture in Toronto – acquired by Cognizant Technology Solutions (NASDAQ: CTSH) in 2016 while Martin was helping lead the business. Notable clients included: Campbell's Soup Co., Coca-Cola, Conagra Brands, Kroger, Mars, Molson Coors, and PepsiCo.

Martin attended OCAD University in Toronto, where he studied Industrial Design, with a specialization in Applied Innovation.

A proud father – Martin is humbled and amazed by how much both his daughters know (and subsequently how little he does). He’s obsessed with all thing’s health, wellness, and fitness – in an attempt to outwit father time and live until well into his 150s.
